The single most critical issue in closing the achievement gap is getting students to school. One of the greatest motivating factors for student attendance is the elective.

Keep spending cuts away from the Classroom

Finding creative ways to secure funds to support budget and when cuts are necessary keeping them away from classroom and programs.

Arts and Technology in the classroom

Being in the classroom I see the pressure for performance on test scores and the need to spend time preparing students to succeed, but I also see the importance of the arts and technology to bring balance ensuring that all students have access to a quality, standards-based arts education curriculum.
