  • Occupation: Veterans Service Officer
  • I have three kids that will be going to school in the district until 2030!
  • I was appointed in 2011 as the County veterans Services Officer and I have a BS in Computer Information Systems.
  • I have been a member of the SLO CO Homeless Oversight Council for 2 years.
  • 2012 I was recognized as Patriot of the Year by Toy's for Tots for my work helping veterans and their families.
  • 2011 I was recognized as Veteran of the Year by Senator Sam Blakeslee for my work helping veterans.
  • 2010 I was named a CNN Hero, for my work in the community, 1 of 22 from 27000 world wide.

Top Priorities if Elected
  • Make sure staff and students have the tools they need to succeed, and that our schools are safe.
  • Make sure the budget allows for our children to participate in enrichment programs like Rancho El Chorro, and be exposed to the arts.
  • Make sure bond funds for school infrastructure upgrades are used responsibly.
