Position Papers
Sustainability
To achieve balance with our environment while preserving a high standard of living, Berkeley needs to practice smart growth and find practical ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
Public Safety
Berkeley has set ambitious goals to reduce our greenhouse gas emission by 80% and our solid waste to zero. I believe that we need to be equally ambitious in the realm of public safety and set a goal of zero crime. Goals are an excellent way to focus policy on achieving concrete results.
Neighborhoods
To build stronger neighborhoods and bridge the Town/Gown divide, we need to couple the wisdom of the long term residents with the energy and vitality of Cal students.
