Lucy Aguilar is a native of the Inland Empire and has been a resident of the City of Ontario for 21 years. Lucy was the first college graduate and first to obtain her MBA, in her family. Lucy attended Cal Poly Pomona and is a graduate of the University of La Verne with a Bachelor in Accounting and a MBA with emphasis in Finance. Lucy is the Vice President of Regional Risk/Operations Manager at Popular Community Bank she oversees and manages all aspects of the California Retail Operations, operational and risk compliance, SOX financial reporting, risk analysis, and guidance to the Regional Management teams. Bringing 20 accomplished years of experience in the Financial Industry, Lucy has held various positions and worked her way up to serve as Vice President of Home Loans Finance at Washington Mutual and Home Savings of America. As a member of the Senior Management team at Popular Community Bank, Lucy was selected to be a leader in the Latina Global Executive Leadership Program (LGELP) - USC Marshall School of Business. The LGELP represents the top 1% of Latina Leaders in America. The program embraces the principles used in Harvard's groundbreaking Authentic Leadership Development program to empower Latina professionals to embark on paths of personal leadership development. Through her involvement with the LGELP, leadership and social commitment, Lucy was appointed to the 2014 National Latina Business Women Association Board of Directors. Lucy will be celebrating her 25th Wedding Anniversary with her husband, Jose Aguilar. Lucy and Jose have three adult children. As a parent of a child with Autism, she has been actively involved in understanding and supporting the Autism cause for children and young adults. Lucy is a member of the ARC of California, Autism Speaks, and the Autism Society of Inland Empire. She has also been active in her community and participated on the Code Enforcement Committee |
