The Stanton Community: A History of Friendship, Volunteering, and Leadership

Jennifer and I were married in Stanton and raised our five kids in the same Stanton home we live in today. Jennifer worked at the local church as the secretary and like our children went to local schools. Today Katy, Joe, and David and their families live in Stanton along with our six grandkids who are at our home daily going to a local preschool and playing in our neighborhood.

Stanton is a wonderful community to have our family and their families grow up in. Our son's Matthew, David, and Joe have earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of Troop 111 in Stanton were I served as Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster. My wife Jennifer was also a Den Mother with Pack 111 of Stanton.

All five of my children have benefited from the local parks and recreation programs that have provided activities and programs for each of them. They also, along with myself and Jenny, have volunteered with countless other friends and neighbors to make these programs a success. Together we shared Christmas in the City, Stanton's Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and Halloween for Family and Friends with the rest of the Stanton families and our neighborhoods.

Our sons and daughters played in the "Stanton Little League" where I coached and managed many teams. Jenny was our team mom and worked the snack bar. Our time in Stanton has been a most wonderful experience and we look forward every day to making new friendships and watch our family continue to grow. Our family and their families are now up to a fourth generation of "Stantonites" and will always keep Stanton a Community of Pride and Forward Vision in the past, present, and for sure the future. It has been a pleasure serving our community as your Mayor and Council Member and I will continue to work for you and your families.
