I believe that individuals and organizations should be represented fairly in city matters.I understand that our community is made up of many diverse groups and individuals who should be heard and considered in decisions that affect our city. Everyone should feel comfortable and welcomed into council meetings and events, and be given an opportunity to voice their interests, questions and concerns. I want to make sure that members of our community feel this way, and understand that their opinion matters. As I see attendance and participation in our city council meetings decline, I recognize that awareness about what our city is accomplishing, and what we can accomplish in the coming years, is declining. I want to change this, and make sure that the voices of the community are heard. |
