With the support of his late mother, late Mrs. C A Ogunleye; his late father's friend and now late Inspector General of Nigerian Police Force - Felix Musa; also late Lawyer Shaba Dagachi, Emmanuel secured a visa and moved to America in 1984. Emmanuel Ogunleye attended graduated from Laney College, Oakland California in 1986 and from San Francisco State University in 1988 with a degree in International Relations and Political Science. After several years of successful career working for Alameda County, State of California, and Federal Government, proceeded back to school at Walden University to obtain an MPA and PhD in Law and Public Policy Administration. He also obtained several Certifications with Federal and State Govern-ment in Professional Development in Rulemaking and Regulations in 2002; Budget and Budget Change Process in 2001; Conducting Contract and Contract Management Procedures in 2001; Fed-eral Social Security Disability Quality Examiner Certification in 2004; and finally, Accredited in Legal Social Security Disability Representation in 2007. In 2006, Emmanuel ran for the California State Assembly in the 11th Assembly District and he was described as the firs minority to vie for a higher office and called a visionary with sterling reputation. He is an accomplished public administrator with a wide range of exemplary experiences and working knowledge of federal, State Governments, and private business world. Emmanuel is a man of faith, believer in strong family values, and moral conviction, trustworthy, and dedicated goal setter who will listen, and work hard for his believes. He was married for 22 years to his wife, Sandra Sophia Ogunleye (nee Haynes). They have three children (Gbenga Jr., Shade, and Yetunde). The Ogunleye family made their home in Pittsburg California since 1992, and it remains their home today. |
