Board Member; Del Mar Union School District

Katherine White holds a BS, BA, MSEE, and management degrees along with 15 years experience as a senior executive at Qualcomm and Leap Wireless. She has managed multi-million dollar construction projects on time and under budget. She has successfully managed large knowledge-based organizations with employees around the world.

Katherine has volunteered in the classroom at Del Mar Heights School as a room parent, field trip chaperone, grader and ever-popular club leader for the Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon lunch club (now in its 3rd year). Katherine is currently in her second term as PTA president and prior to that served as PTA Parliamentarian and has chaired several PTA events including the Used Book Exchange. She has served on Del Mar Heights Site Council for 4 years and sat on several school committees including Strategic Planning and Facilities. Katherine has worked in the district as a volunteer serving on the Boundary Committee, the Budget Committee, the Facilities Advisory Committee and attended district Strategic Planning for several years. She serves as Vice President on the Rancho Encinitas Academy League and room parent, Field Trip Driver at Edison Academy where her son attends (he was at Del Mar Heights K-6). Katherine's middle son is in 5th grade at Del Mar Heights and her youngest at Solana Beach Presbyterian Preschool, where Katherine also volunteers.

Katherine currently serves as treasurer for the AAUW Tech Trek Science Camp as well shops for the Homeless Baby Project. She recently served on the board of directors for Girl Scouts and chaired the Strategic Planning Committee while serving on the Capital Campaign Committee.
