Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Rio Dell

I was born in Fortuna, California. I graduated from Fortuna High School. I went on to college and received a degree in business management. My husband and I own Brian's Auto Repair. We received "Business Of The Year" for 2005. We are very dedicated to our customers, making sure they know exactly what went wrong with their vehicle. Our customers safety and peace of mind is our top priority.

I am raising my nephew, who I call my son. I was awarded custody of him when he was two years old. He is now 16 and a junior at Fortuna High School. I also take care of my husband parents. We moved in with them 6 years ago when they fell ill. I used to work as a caregiver, that experience has helped me take care of their needs.

I have been a member of the Rio Dell - Scotia Chamber Of Commerce for the last 3 years. I am the Vice President / Secretary for the Chamber of Commerce. I am very involved with the community activities. I help out with the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Wildwood Days Parade, Annual Duck Race, Adopt-a-Highway cleanup, and the Earth Day City Wide Cleanup. I also am in charge of organizing the downtown Halloween Festival, which is put on by the business owners of Rio Dell. I love to help out in the community, I get my husband and son to help as well. I also sponsor different youth fundraisers for the High School and the schools in both Rio Dell and Scotia. I also run the snack bar in Fortuna for the Eel River Valley Babe Ruth Association. My son has played baseball for Babe Ruth for the past 2 years. I also love to cook. I love to cook for big crowds. Cooking has always been a comfortable outlet for me.
