Oceano Fire Department is SECOND TO NONE. You can feel assured that our community is well protected.
Since the establishment of Oceano Community Services District (OCSD) the former independent districts, such as, the Oceano Fire Department along with Water, Sewer and Street Light Districts were consolidated into the new OCSD. As time has passed, I have been proud of the efforts of the OCSD staff and the volunteers that have manned the Fire Department. Over the years the Deptartment has gained new and newer equipment, today we budget over $500,000 to the department. In addition to our own staff, the Fire Department shares with all of the area Fire Departments, with Mutual Aid and for structure fires we share Automatic Aid.
