I was born and raised in San Diego, California(1952-1971. I served in the Air Force as a photo journalist. I have been self employed as a free lance photographer and a custom color printer (1972-1976).
I attended Grossmont College in San Diego (1978) and graduated with an Associate Science degree in Urban and Planning Technology (1980). I was employed as a microfilm General Foreman for the 1980 Census (1980-1982). I attended Sonoma State University (1982) and graduated with a Bachelor fo Arts in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography (1984).
I was employed as a county/community planner in Mendocino County (1984-1989). I worked for the City of Fort Bragg as a Planning Director (1989-2000)and as a city planner for the City of Coalinga (2000). I am currently employed by the Tuilare County Association of Governments as a transportation planner.
Throughout the 1990's and the 2000's, I have volunteered as a coach, referee, umpire, groundskeeper, and as a president of a girls softball association. Additionally, I am a substitute teacher for the Coalinga Huron Unified School District. In my community involvement, it seems that I am recognized more by the children in the communities than their parents.
