"Lifeline of Web Service"

By Richard P. Neveln

Candidate for Director; Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District; Ward 3

This information is provided by the candidate
My position is that a "Lifeline of Web Service" is needed to cover the entire district.
This is especially critical in East Oakland where the so-called "Trunk Lines" operate 24 hours. Lines 82 and 40/43, and the local connecting lines stop running at early hours.

Other critical areas where the "Lifeline Web Service" is needed is Alameda's Bay Farm Island. The lack of weekend service strands people at home in that area, causes problems for people who work there on weekends, and keeps people from Alameda and all of the East Bay away from weekend activities. There are similar areas without weekend and evening service in East Oakland and throughout the AC Transit service area.

Equal access for all people to transit service, at equal times, is one of the work goals of mine.
