Four years ago, I promised to break the cycle of astronomical increases in our water rates while working to improve the quality and reliability of our water supply. I also promised to protect the Delta and preserve dwindling open space.Large water rate increases have ended and we have completed a ten-year Water Rate Stabilization Plan. The Los Vaqueros Reservoir project was completed on time and on budget, improving water quality and reliability. The Los Vaqueros recreational facilities are open! The Los Vaqueros project has protected over 20,000 acres of land from development, leaving an environmental jewel for future generations to enjoy! |
