Julie has been a long-time advocate and volunteer for Orinda schools. She is passionate about public education and ensuring Orinda continues as one of the best school districts in California. Julie was elected to the Orinda school board in 2010, and served as president of the board in 2013. She has truly enjoyed serving on the school board: "It has been a great privilege serving on the school board and working with so many talented and committed people in this community. I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively to accomplish the board's primary goal: providing Orinda students with the highest quality education." Julie has three children attending Orinda schools: a son who is a junior at Miramonte, a freshman daughter at Miramonte, and a daughter in third grade at Del Rey. Julie has had children in the school district since 2004, and will continue to have a student in the district until 2020.
