BRUCE'S VISION ON ECONOMY, EDUCATION, CAREERS AND JOBS
Bruce Williams' vision for improving our schools and encouraging new academic models will transform our classrooms into learning centers to develop practical skills for future careers.

If elected, Bruce will champion the following programs, partnerships, and initiatives:

• Bring together the various levels of government closer together+ City Council, San Diego Unified School District, County Board of Education, San Diego County Board of Supervisors to determine priorities and pathways to achieve those priorities.
• Encourage a satellite system with UCSD, SDSU and USD to increase pathways to higher education.Advocate to bringing business and labor experts to teach practical skills and connect it to the curriculum. And then encourage them to offer internships and employment opportunities.
• Encourage more STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) emphasis to bring science and technology to life.Encourage local businesses to get invested in our schools by offering their expertise to set up mini apprenticeships to provide more hands-on practical learning experience for students in the community.
• Work with the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), Black Police Officers Association (BPOA) to start a program similar to STAR/PAL for City Council District 4.
• Advocate for more mentoring programs like Safe Passages that connect students with adults and pair them with leaders to help prepare them for a successful transition from high school to college.
• Advocate for more robust before and after school programs that make a difference.Bring together youth, parents, teachers and administrators to be advisors for City Council District 4.
