My wife and I moved to Riverside County more than 15 years ago in search of a better way of life. This County has blessed us with a wonderful community in which to raise our three girls (and a little boy due in May) and we have been honored by our many opportunities to give back.

I am running for Riverside County Supervisor because I am concerned the county is moving in the wrong direction and we need to reevaluate county policies and determine what impact they are having on the hard working men and women of the 5th Supervisor District.

As an Educator, Business Owner, former School Board Trustee, and Chamber of Commerce President, I've seen first hand how strong the people of this county are. I've also seen the many challenges we face as a region. I believe that Riverside County has the potential to drive the cutting edge of innovation and economic development and, as your next Supervisor, I'll make sure that vision becomes a reality.

Like many county residents I want to see county government operate with more accountability. I fight to balance the budget, cut red tape and improve and streamline county services. Unlike most candidates, I actually have the experience and track record to do it. My private sector and public service record is one that I will be able to put to work for county taxpayers from day one.

I have worked most of my career to cut waste and improve efficiency. As a successful businessman, I helped to build companies across the Inland Empire. I understand what it takes to create jobs in high-tech, biotech and renewable energy sectors - all critical to the 5th Supervisor District and Riverside County's future. As a result, I enjoy the support of citizens and elected leaders from throughout the district who are Republicans, Democrats and Independents. I will work across party lines to support Riveride County. I approach every issue as an independent problem solver. Working together on common interests and looking for consensus in a bipartisan manner will make our county stronger.

As County Supervisor, my priorities will be simple. I understand the importance of preserving our environment, open spaces, water, and our beautiful communities while fostering an economic climate that puts people to work. I will always be a fierce defender of our need to improve fire protection, libraries and parks and to do so in a way that is fiscally responsible.

I will fight for policies that invest in our infrastructure and increase renewable energy to do my part to decrease our dependence on expensive foreign oil. Lets go to work and put our quality of life and the workingmen and women and our families first. I also understand the need to provide quality affordable health care for our citizens.

I will not forget whom I work for + the taxpayers of Riverside County + I will fight to take away the perks and privileges of the career politicians. Perks like six figure pensions. In short, I will fight to make sure that elected politicians play by the same rules as the rest of us.
