Questions & Answers

1. What specific personal qualities make you especially qualified to be a judge?

I have devoted over a decade of my life as a Referee on the Superior Court bench, hearing cases in an early intervention branch of the Juvenile Court, working daily to keep tens of thousands of kids all over Los Angeles County from becoming career criminals.

2. Do you favor alternative sentences for non-violent offenders in view of the current prisoner overcrowding problems, and if so, what options should be available?

This is a question better addressed to your legislative representatives. A trial judge must remain impartial and neutral. I do not feel it appropriate, as a candidate for trial judge, to comment on how I might rule in matters that may come before me or issues I may be called upon to decide as a judge
