-Litigates cases on behalf of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue before the United States Tax Court by defending the federal government against lawsuits filed by taxpayers disputing their deficiency determinations
-Advises IRS personnel on legal matters, in review of high-dollar-amount offers in compromise, and in review of proposed determinations of civil fraud
-Drafts letters of defense on behalf of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue in matters of tax litigation before the United States District Court, and letters of referral to the U.S. Attorney's Office for IRS summons enforcement

Glendora High School (Guest Lecturer)
-Taught three classes of 12th grade government students the fundamentals of constitutional law, civil law, criminal law, and legal procedure
-Organized a class-wide mock trial whereby the students assumed the roles of prosecutor, defense counsel, juror, and witness, and conducted the trials of Three Little Pigs v. Big Bad Wolf and Bears v. Gold E. Locks

-Researched and briefed the Panel on: the mortgage securitization process, the value of Goldman Sachs' credit default swaps, the evolution of contracts between Treasury and various investment and commercial banks, and the changes in executive compensation as a result of Special Master Ken Feinberg's recommendations
-Wrote reports on: Treasury's interim final rule on potential conflicts of interest, the timeline of fraudulent activity leading up to the foreclosure crisis, and Treasury's various foreclosure mitigation programs, all of which were ultimately published as part of the Panel's October, November, and December reports to Congress
-Prepared questions for Panel hearings on: Treasury's exercise of its contracting authority, the foreclosure crisis, executive compensation, and overall bailout progress where Secretary Timothy Geithner appeared to testify

-Drafted a motion for summary judgment on behalf of the Franchise Tax Board in a United States Bankruptcy Court case involving a multi-million dollar Ponzi-scheme and fraudulent transfers
