Beth has been active in Delaware County Democratic Party politics since moving to Delaware County in 2006. She is currently the Vice-Chairperson of the Thornbury Township Democratic Committee, as well as the elected Minority Inspector of Elections for Precinct 1, Thornbury Township.

Beth was active with the Organizing for America campaign to elect President Obama. She focused her activities on the successful voter registration efforts at Cheyney University. She was a regular volunteer for Joe Sestak for his Congressional and Senate campaigns. She is also an active member of the Women's Democratic Club of Delaware County.

Beth is currently a Realtor based in Chadds Ford Township. She is licensed in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is a member of the Suburban West Realtor Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chadds Ford Business Association. She is a voice for Delaware County's interests on the Chester County Advocacy Committee for Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Beth was born and raised in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh), attended George Washington University (BA) and Catholic University (MLS).

She was a librarian in several Federal libraries in Washington DC, including the Department of Transportation and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well at the US Embassy Library, Bonn, West Germany. Beth has also been a public librarian in Broward County, Florida, and has run several community libraries on a volunteer basis.

For 25 years she accompanied her Foreign Service husband on his overseas assignments in South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She was hired by the Department of State to be the Community Liaison Officer at four US Embassies and Consulates. Beth's other activities in the community include:

Cherry Creek Conservation Community, Architecture Committee, member.
Thornbury Historical Society, member and volunteer.
Chadds Ford Historical Society, member and volunteer.
West Chester Gun Club, member. Beth's husband, Peter, is a Secretary of the club.
International Women's Club, member and bridge instructor.

Beth is married to Peter Alois (Vietnam veteran, and President, Alois Global Trade Strategies LLC). They have three adult children and one daughter-in-law who live outside of the state.

When Beth is elected State Representative, she will be an active supporter of the needs and interests of the citizens of the 168th District in Harrisburg.
