Dr. Sammarco has prioritized compassion and respect for the families of victims, and her goal is and to make sure this standard is carried out for all citizens equally, regardless of race, religious beliefs or economic status. Said Sammarco "My passion was borne out of the recognition that every life matters and must be respected." Dr. Sammarco describes herself as "fiscally conservative". The Hamilton County Crime Lab is part of the Coroner's Office and management is a large part of her responsibility. The Crime Lab generates over $1 Million dollars for Hamilton County, and Dr. Sammarco is exploring ways to expand those services both to improve service to the community and to bring in additional dollars to the community. Said Sammarco "I have been blessed in life and am grateful for the opportunities available to me by the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. I enjoy contributing my knowledge and know-how so that the Coroner's Office can continue to serve the citizens of the county in a financially sound manner. |
