We must not look solely to the state of California for funding.If the state of California continues to make cuts to the funding of our schools, then we need to look outside the box. Looking to large corporations within our city boundaries for grant money is one possible way. We need to look for the best writers among our employees who can better assist in writing grants for funding to increase the funding for our schools and enable us to better the quality of our education. By having agreements with both of our unions, realizing that we must all be looking out for the best of the kids, makes it easier to do that. The whole district must bond together to make whatever funding we receive stretch the furthest for the kids. |
