Our city's general plan identifies these and other goals; I would continue to advocate adherence to this visionary document.The City Council can work with the county and state to keep urban growth from expanding into our agricultural and open space lands. Also by working with both the county and the coastal commission, the City Council can maintain strict guidelines for any coastal development. I worked against Measure J (proposed drilling by Venoco) and am a member of Carpinteria Beautiful, as well as a day coordinator for the Seal Watch. |
