Pool Project

The community should get the pool that they asked for 4 years ago.

When the General Manager brought back a design plan it was for a spash structure and a lap pool, 3 feet deep for swim lessons and a full size pool.

In September 2009 he brought it back to the public and it had become a 2 Phase project and Phase one was for the splash feature and the small lap pool.

In August 2010 he reported that they had contracted for the design plans.

In April 2011 there is another report to the community that they are moving forward with Phase one.

On September 11, the Pittsburg Planning commission discussed the design plan which now is for only the splash structure and no pool. The community has always stated they want their pool reopened but were never informed by the Ambrose Park Board that they had decided to drop the pool, we had to hear that from the Pittsburg planning commission.

The General Manager not only turned over the management of the project to Pittsburg but 1.7 million dollars of money that was designated for Bay Point projects, the pool is in the jurisdiction of Pittsburg not Bay Point.
