Green Energy Alternatives

Sustainability requires that we reduce our energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

I also want to make alternative/renewable energy choices available to residents of Albany, including those who cannot afford to purchase a solar home system. Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) is a system under which cities and counties combine the buying power of customers to secure alternative energy supply contracts. I would like Albany to join Oakland, Berkeley, Marin County and San Francisco in pursuing CCA initiatives, particularly ones that emphasize the development of local renewable energy resources.
