Education for students at every level
Assuring quality education for students at every level should be fundamental to California. Sadly, our state's commitment to education has dramatically declined. Public schools are starved for resources and our community colleges and universities have seen dramatic and unacceptable fee increases. As your assemblyman I will fight for increased revenues to be dedicated to our schools and colleges and will oppose the outrageous fee increases that have impacted our students. As an early supporter of the California Dream Act, I understand first hand the importance of access for all students who want to contribute to our state and our communities. Education is my number one priority!
