Political Philosophy for Cyril G. "Cy" Bologoff
Candidate for |

In this tough economy with many financial shortrfalls the challenges facing our city are great. We may have to make tough choices perhaps never done in the past. It's not going to be easy but with my years of experience and prior tough times, and my intricate understanding of operations of our city I can implement adjustments that will have a minimal effect on our community. The Baylands project is a 600 acre project, a brownfield which the developer wants to develop. The development will change our town forever. Growth is inevitable but it must be controlled growth, controlled by us not outside interests. I can see this project, whatever the final proposal is, will have to go to an election for a vote of our citizens. They will be the final deciding factor for the proposal. Schools: we have two schools in our town Brisbane, Elementary, and Lipman Middle school. Both my kids went though and graduated from them.Lipman turns out well educated students who pass entrance exams to schools for higher learning. We cannot lose either to this economy and I'm prepared to work with the schools' administration to keep them open and here in our town where they belong. |
