Andrew McCullough is a local business leader, former municipal lawyer and longtime San Rafael resident. He's been working for our neighborhoods, schools and local businesses for more than 14 years.

As General Counsel and senior executive to San Rafael-based Syufy Enterprises, Andrew has balanced budgets and helped lead his company's operating businesses to 15 consecutive years of profitability. Among his current responsibilities, Andrew is working to revive and enhance the Peacock Gap Golf Course in East San Rafael. Early in his career, he served as a Supervising Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco where he defended city agencies and won jury cases when necessary to protect public funds.

Andrew has been appointed to leadership positions by organizations as diverse as the San Rafael Mayor's Office, the Marin County Board of Supervisors, Dominican University, the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, and the San Rafael School Board. Andrew succeeded the late Supervisor, Charles McGlashan, on the Marin Economic Commission, where he served as Vice Chair.

Andrew and his wife, Theresa, have three daughters (Lucy, Nina, and Bevin), all of whom have attended Glenwood and Davidson. Their oldest daughter, Lucy, recently graduated from Marin Academy and is starting college this fall.

Andrew is also actively involved in the local community. As president of his local swim team (Go Swimarin!), coach of his daughter's CYO basketball team, and co-founder of his local school's Dads' Club, Andrew is keenly aware of the issues facing our youth and families. Education and youth sports are and always will be key concerns for Andrew.

Educated at Yale, Andrew worked his way through school while competing all four years on its NCAA Div I swimming team. Upon graduation he went on to UC Hastings Law School, where he worked as a research assistant and later as a teaching assistant. He is proud that one of his former students--Kamala Harris--is now the Attorney General of the State of California.
