Officials must respond to parental concernsBy Nancy D. GoldbergCandidate for Governing Board Member; Culver City Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Parents form a bond with educators during a child's education. Both are essential to a successful adult. Ignoring parental observations and issues runs the risk of a school district being overwhelmed when a problem intensifies.Providing parents with a forum for communicating their concerns insures that small problems can be talked through and, hopefully, eliminated. Since children are our greatest asset, those of us who guide children must cooperate and listen to one another. With a system that encourages parental comment and exposes issues with candor, our school system will continue to flourish. |
