Businesses are leaving California every day and Sacramento doesn't seem to care. Nothing is being done to stem this tide of loss.
The heavy regulations, high taxes and an indifferent state government has led to the largest exodus of companies in history. More companies moved at least some of their operations out of California in the first half of 2010 than in all of 2009. One million private sector jobs have been lost in California in the last three years, many of them union jobs, and we are left with an unemployment rate over 12% and no end in sight.
The legislature is doing nothing about it.
I propose that every state assemblyman actively pursue businesses and business organizations in their district to create a bond between government and business to try and stop this loss of business to other states.
The governor must also develop a strong force at the state level to do the exact same thing. We must show our intention of cooperation in order to bring businnes and jobs back to California.
We can change this but it will take work...I propose to lead this effort.
