Candidate for
Board Member; Grossmont Union High School District

I am the mother of seven children/stepchildren who have all experienced the GUHSD at some time. I have always strived to take an active role in my children's education. At times they have attended private schools, home schools or public schools, depending on their need at the time.

For a period of time, 1990-1994, I owned my own pharmacy and developed a greater appreciation for spending and budgeting priorities and managing expenses. As an employee of another owner, I continue to use this background to serve my employer.

I am active in my church and have served in teaching children and as president of the children's organization. I believe these experiences have helped me to understand better the individual needs of children in their learning experience.
