Student Services and Categorical programs

Candidate for Trustee; Gavilan Joint Community College District; Trustee Area 1

This information is provided by the candidate
Gavilan has an impressive curriculum. They also retain "categorical" programs such as PUENTE, TIPO, Different Abilities and various vocational programs.
Current State and other Government funding is unstable. I wish to work with staff to find ways for all programs to be self sustaining and continue to be valid for students who utilize them. These are valuable services for diverse students and key to their futures.
