SCHNEIDER THOUGHTSBy Victor "JIM" SchneiderCandidate for Council Member; City of San Juan Capistrano | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I have summarized some relevant topics with my viewpoint below. I encourage you to contact me with your thought and opinions.GROUNDWATER SUSTAINABILITY I understand groundwater and the fate and transport of contaminants. I have the credentials and experience to provide SJC residents with honest hydrogeologic assessments. I want our groundwater problems solved now to preserve the future. I want to provide a cooperative effort amongst our City officials with Chevron to resolve the problem and move this City forward. ECONOMIC GROWTH We need economic growth. How? There are many ideas out to the public from City Council. Some are controversial for sure. In order for SJC to flourish as a City, we will have to come together as a team, get involved, exchange ideas, perhaps even sacrifice a bit. Are YOU are willing to help me? This issue will only be resolved cooperatively, with City Council members that listen to the residents and obtain a majority of support. Operating closed session meeting should end. FINANCE - RESPONSIBILITY - ACCOUNTABILITY I will not solicit you for money to finance my campaign. Why? Because I am fiscally responsible and my goal is to spend little to no money. If my attitude were applied to the City, perhaps we would spend more wisely. I believe City Council should be accountable for each and every decision and action they take. I will. |
