SCHNEIDER - MORE THOUGHTS

By Victor "JIM" Schneider

Candidate for Council Member; City of San Juan Capistrano

This information is provided by the candidate
Here are more action items for our City and my solutions...
OPEN SPACE & DEVELOPMENT California is built up too much over the last two decades. We have more strip malls than parks. We need to preserve our open spaces and protect what little land is left. However, some development is necessary for SJC to gain economic stability + so long as the majority of resident approve.

Ask yourself why does any tourist want to visit SJC? To visit the Mission? That does not generate the revenues we seek (and need) as a City. Where do they stay? There is only one hotel in the City. The Plaza Banderas almost has City Council approval, but we need to persue more opportunities. We are not accommodating tourism needs. Our downtown provides a wonderful train stop to bring in tourism +perfect! Let's work to revitalize the downtown with new restaurants & shops & entertainment. City Council needs to remove administrative roadblocks, conduct business development, and work with businesses to expand what already exists.

SMEAR CAMPAIGN Tis the season for long-winded advertisements, promises, unwanted signage, and slander. I will not participate. I will not post signage on our streets. I will not respond to blog attacks. I will respond to concerned residents who want to be heard. I will spread my message by walking into every neighborhood I can before the election and speak with you. I will not hide behind a closed gate or office.
