Integrity, Responsibility, LeadershipBy Kimberlee "Kim" NicholsCandidate for Trustee; Orange Unified School District; Trustee Area 5 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I believe in the values of of our public education system: hard work, honesty, integrity, personal responsibility, and commitment to excellence. I will work to insure the highest quality public education for all students while adhering to our governing principles of fiscal responsibility. As a member of the Board of Education for the past 9 years, I insist that we avoid distractions and keep our District focused on the job we were hired to do. That means finding creative ways to constantly improve the education we offer with the resources we have available to us. I believe in our community and the importance of individual participation. I believe in the benefits of local control and living within your means while always striving to improve. I believe that by improving our school system we improve our community at its most fundamental level and we enjoy numerous related benefits such as increased property values and more productive members of our society. As your Trustee, I have been guided by these principles, and if re-elected, I intend to continue to do so in the future. |
