I was born in New Jersey, but moved to California in 1973. I have lived in Orange County since 2001.

I have two sons, one who attends Cal State Fullerton and one who attends Irvine Valley College. I work for the California Department of Public Health as a Health Facilities Evaluator. Previous to this employment, I was an executive and consultant in Health care administration. I have an extensive accounting, budgeting and management background.

I have spent the last 10 years volunteering as an unpaid advocate for patients, especially seniors, who need help fighting for benefits or against unfair and inappropriate billing from healthcare providers. I also advocate for special needs individuals.

I recently became interested in exploring an Administration of Justice career and have achieved an Associate Degree in Administration of Justice with a 4.0 GPA from Irvine Valley College in May 2010 toward that end. I was raised by an English teacher who instilled in me the importance of education and I will never stop pursuing education.
