Orange County, CA November 2, 2010 Election
Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jill E. Case

Candidate for
Trustee; South Orange County Community College District; Trustee Area 5

This information is provided by the candidate

The role of government is to support the Constitution and maintain the rule of law which provides cohesion to our society.

My role in the position I seek is to protect the taxpayer's money while still fulfilling the mission of the South Orange County Community College District of providing education to meet the economic and employment needs of both businesses and individuals in the community.

I am running for office because I believe in American Democracy. I cannot fault others for not participating if I do not step up to the plate also. This office is not a stepping stone to other political office for me.

I will use my turn-around and consulting skills to analyze the budget, the Administration needs and work to streamline administration to free up money for classes and more teaching positions. I will not turn from grants and funding sources because I do not personally agree with philosophies that are not germane.

I believe in compromise. Governance is compromise. I will work to bring a cohesion to different points of view and reasonableness to everyone's thinking.
