Candidate for
Council Member; City of Brentwood

My decision to run for a seat on the council was sparked by Councilman Brandon Richey's message to Brentwood residents, calling for regular citizens to participate in Brentwood's government. I am not a professional politician. I have no ties to land developers, big business, builders, political organizations or special interest groups so I will be able to freely represent you! I am a practical person with a lot of common sense who isn't afraid to ask tough questions or speak out, if needed, against big ideas and big expenses. I will bring balance to our city council members who view managing our city as a business, because running Brentwood isn't just a business. Brentwood government should be about the people who live here and staying in touch with them to ensure that everything possible is being done to improve the exceptional quality of life we have. I will actively seek input from you, listening to your ideas, concerns, frustrations and comments, and then speak up in council for you, because it's vital that our city government knows where you stand before making important decisions that affect all of us.

The city council has started on ways to improve communication with residents, but it hasn't improved enough. There must be more connection between citizens and city government, and I will work hard to increase communication, understanding and cooperation. With that as a foundation, we will truly be able to work together as a team to deal with the issues our city faces and find creative solutions for these problems.
