I am a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature. While in graduate school at San Francisco State University, I was invited to join an AC Transit bus driver training class.

While working as a bus driver, I returned to San Francisco State University, earning a teaching credential in Secondary Education (English).

After serving AC Transit as a bus driver for 12 years, I promoted into a number of increasingly responsible positions, as follows:

  • Transportation Supervisor
  • Assistant Transportation Superintendent
  • Acting Associate Transportation Planner
  • Transportation Superintendent
  • Director of Transportation
  • Deputy General Manager, Service Development

I retired in June 2010, after 33 years of service to AC Transit. However, I am interested in continuing to serve the agency; accordingly, I made the decision to run for the AC Transit Board of Directors.
