Why I am a DemocratBy Pam ServiceCandidate for Member, Democratic Party County Central Committee; County of Humboldt; Supervisorial District 4 | |

Attending to the needs of many rather than the greed of a fewThough raised in a Republican household, I became a Democrat upon reaching voting age because I believed the Democratic Party was truly the party of the individual -- working to allow every individual the oportunity to develop his or her full potential. Over the years, my choice has proven right. Though often imperfect, it is the Democrats who have pushed for social justice, human equality, health care as a right, envionmental protection, expanded education and caring for those in need. Sometimes this "need vs. greed" battle seems endless and difficult to win, but I am commited to staying in there, through good times and bad, and fighting for Democratic principles. |
