This information is provided by the candidate
My wife Debby and I have lived in Pike Township for 30 years raising our four children. I am a graduate of Boyertown High School - Class of '78. In December of 2009 I completed my four year term as School Director in the Oley Valley School District. I have been active civically most of my adult life; this includes being a member of the "Victory Mile" new track committee at Boyertown High School, an American Cancer Society Relay For Life Team Captain, member of several area sports clubs and associations, and serving as a PIAA official which allowed me to work with high school students and parents all across Berks County. As a self employed carpenter for the past twenty-five years, I have seen the effects of this down economy and the hindrance government has placed on job growth.
I am a candidate for the 130th State Representative seat because I believe in:
- Getting government out of the way of creating jobs.
- The elimination of school property taxes.
- Personal property rights.
- Reducing the size and cost of government.
- Improving public school performance and accountability.
