Running for the State Representative Seat in the 130th District is a undertaking I chose to do only after consultation with my wife, family and good friends. I also entered the race prayerfully and with the greasest respect for the residents and voters I have lived with in the district since I was a young boy.
Any elected office is an honor and a trust between the official and those he takes an oath to serve and represent. The district consists of Amity, Colebrookdale, Douglass-Berks, Earl, Exeter (1st, 3rd, 6th , 7th , 8th and 9th precincts), Oley, Pike, Rockland, Ruscombmanor, and Union Townships and the Boroughs of Birdsboro, Boyertown, and Fleetwood.
I am a patriotic Republican who like most of you, are concerned about the future of Pennsylvania and our nation: too much debt and deficit spending, property taxes and eminent domain abuse that undermine the security of home ownership, accountability in public education, and ever-increasing regulations and over-reaching governments that crush our freedoms and drag down small businesses. These are the key issues I am committed to work on.
My life experience as a husband and father, self employed carpenter, Oley Valley School Board member, PIAA official, and involved citizen (American Cancer Society Relay for Life; Boyertown Victory Mile new track committee) has been good preparation for the state legislature. These experiences involve working constructively and ethically with others to fill a need or solve a common problem.
I call myself conservative by nature and I believe our US Constitution stands as the greatest written guide for a free people to govern themselves.
