I strongly feel that school board directors need to be out and about in the community and at school events. They must contribute to creating a positive working and learning environment for the district employees and the students attending the schools.
In order to represent the whole community, I strongly feel that school board directors need to be out and about in the community and at school events. They must contribute to creating a positive working and learning environment for the district employees and the students attending the schools. Questions need to be asked at public board meetings and school district business should be discussed openly unless prohibited by law. It is critically important to discuss issues during the public meetings in order to avoid violating the Sunshine Law. Being an educator, I tell my students that asking questions is good and helps promote a better understanding. I would make sure that I did my job by asking questions and would cast my vote with the community's best interests in mind.
