Our third child is on his/her way and will be blessing our lives in early April. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from California State University, Bakersfield in 1994. I received a Masters Degree in Justice Administration from Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont, in 2005. I graduated with honors and finished with a 4.0 GPA. In February, I will be celebrating my 14 anniversary as a law enforcement officer. I have spent the vast majority of my career working for the Los Angeles Police Department and have over 11 years of service with this fine organization. My law enforcement experience also includes one year of service as a Deputy Sheriff with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office in Gillette, Wyoming and one year of service as a Campus Police Officer at the University of Vermont. During my career, I have worked a variety of assignments, such as Field Training Officer, Undercover Vice Investigator, and Chase Officer for the LAPD's Valley Bureau Narcotics Unit. I am currently serving as a delegate with the Los Angeles Police Protective League and participate with the LAPPL's Political Action Committee. Prior to my entry into law enforcement, I worked as an Archaeological Technician for various public and private entities within the State of California. |
