"EDUCATION IS PORTABLE WEALTH" (Patricia's Biography) So, you may ask, why are you running for the CCUSD School Board? Well, I've dedicated my life to Education and our youth. I've taught over 15,000 students, and they are all over the world, e.g., working with the homeless in Oakland, missionaries in Mexico, lawyers, artists, etc. So, my 30+ years in education, activism, experience and leadership on the state (Sacramento) and local levels, leads me to offer my service, knowledge and commitment to our Culver City youth, from kindergarten through college. Our students must be able to successfully compete academically and financially with the realities that exist in the world, which is fast becoming the "Global Neighborhood." Education is a lifelong continuum, and at all levels of education we must work together to prepare our youth for the "global context" in which they will be living and working after they leave our schools, colleges and universities.
