Reynolds Longfield, a resident of White Plains for 22 years is running for the White Plains Board of Education. He is a highly experienced professional with extensive administrative and international business management and exceptional teaching knowledge as well as the latest in educational theory.
Reynolds Longfield holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education with a teaching certificate for teaching K-12 from Rider University, a Masters in Teaching from Manhattanville College Education in 2003 and a Masters in Administration from The College of Saint Rose in 2007 and holds New York Certifications as a SBL (School Building Leader), SDL (School District Leader).
Reynolds Longfield brings unique qualifications to the Board with considerable business and management experience having worked for 25 years in the business world. His experience encompasses international and domestic administrative assignments and various management responsibilities. His international experience includes living in Latin America and traveling extensively throughout the region and speaking Spanish. He also possesses considerable computer and technology skill, which is essential in this increasingly important area. He returned to the field of education in 2003 in the spirit of community service by teaching Social Studies in the inner city for the past 6 years. His management, sales and training experience has proven to be a great asset in guiding teachers as well as engaging and motivating students and will prove exceptionally valuable on the Board of Education during these current fiscally challenged times.
