I support the LAB project:
The proof is in the pudding. North Beach has been and continues to be an egregious visible blight on the costal landscape of San Clemente. North beach needs to be redevelopment and the project has gone through an extensive review process that was transparent and open to the public. I do support the LAB Holding LLC's Playa del Norte project. Lets be perfectly clear the LAB stands for good American businesses and with good planning local "mom and pop" business should be able to thrive. The project will be the linchpin for the remediation of this perpetual eye sore.
Several residents who have opposed the LAB have supported the Casino San Clemente Plan for improving North Beach. The casino plan would be disastrous for local residents by leading to the destruction of the historical Casino to allow for condos and a restaurant to be built. The LAB provides for greater access for a larger number of people, the Casino Plan doesn't.
