Technology/Innovation & CommerceBy Kris WangCandidate for Member of the State Assembly; District 22; Democratic Party | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
The Valley is the premier destination for high-technology, entrepreneurial talent, and venture capital. It is our unique spirit that drives our desire to be innovating from the ground up and anticipating what's next rather than chasing what's already happened. I believe future success for the Valley lies in our continued ability to attract business investment and intellectual capital to our businesses and start-ups. I strongly support initiatives that would allow small and big businesses alike to continue pushing the envelope of technology innovation. I am also a big believer in growth from abroad. As Mayor and Councilwoman of Cupertino, I reached out to businesses and cities overseas that helped garner interest in our businesses and invite investments into our city. With a strong background in high-tech and management, I truly understand what it takes for us to continue moving forward. It has become the Valley's proud responsibility of being at the global forefront of new ideas and new technologies, and I know my experience in this area can help us continue our progress. |
