Hi, my name is Lou Cunningham and I want to be your next Ventura City Councilman. I believe the average Venturan is under represented on the Ventura City Council. I promise to work hard, do my homework, and provide common sense to re-build your trust in City Hall. My goal is to make sure our tax dollars are being spent wisely and that we all receive the quality service we expect. We all know that our city has limited funds. Yet, we all know that we have to re-build our infrastructure, provide a safe level of police and fire protection, and pay for past and present employee wages and benefits, all while maintaining our reserves. So what can we do now? We can only roll up our sleeves and get to work! I have over 40 years experience working in the public and private sectors planning and managing multi-million dollar projects. I have been making difficult decisions affecting many people's lives and livelihoods as a member and chairman of the Ventura Mobile Home Rent Review Board. As a LAFCO Commissioner, I've tackled land use issues important to all of us. I would be honored by your vote and the opportunity to work for you! |
