Congress has become the conduit between special interests and lawmaking, as evidenced by the corruptive influence observed between lawmakers and special interest money. The link of corruption continues between Congress and business.
According to the GAO, the Heritage Foundation, AARP, the Cato Institute, and the Brookings Institute, the spending actions of Congress resulting in record deficits aren't only costly, but have placed America in a dangerous economical spiral, encumbering each American with a cost exceeding $500,000 dollars. America is deeply in debt to foreign governments that do not share concerns for our national safety. Repayment by raising taxes on citizens or printing money to repay the debt is inflationary and is not the answer. Cutting taxes is criticized, but it could also be fair if done with spending restraint.A citizen's calling in life isn't to see how much money he should give government for any whimsical purpose. Discontinuing spending tax dollars to underwrite businesses from oil to farming should be urged. Congressional members with the penchant to pass special interest bills exceeding revenue are irresponsible and clearly do not understand the inherent danger of deficit spending.A negative financial legacy for present and future generations is inevitable and such Congressional members should not be re-elected.
