For over thirty years I have been a Teacher, School Principal, and School Board Member, in local area schools. My community involvement is extensive, having spent the past seven years as the Chairperson of the Chula Vista Mobil Home Rent Review Commission and six years as a school board member/president of the South Bay union School District. Additionally, in 1986 I earned the Degree of Doctor of Education from Northern Arizona University, and I served our Country as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 through 1975.
I am also a family man, a native of San Diego, and I have resided for the past thirty years in the Chula Vista and Imperial Beach Areas. I presently serve as the Vice President of the Chula Vista Kiwanis Club, where I volunteer a great deal of time helping children and their families, senior citizens, and underprivileged community members in our area.
